ABC Studios is the television production division of Disney-ABC Television Group. ABC Studios was established as Touchstone Television in 1985 and given its current name in May 2007.
Starting with the 2009-2010 season, all television series produced by ABC Studios now have the wording "An ABC Studios Production" at the start of the in-show credits, while the ABC Studios closing logo was dropped entirely. This makes ABC Studios the first television production company to feature the company production credit at the beginning of a television program.
In June 2009, ABC Entertainment announced a new organization, effective immediately.[1][2] In January 2010, Disney-ABC Television Group announced it was cutting 5% of its workforce.[3]
